BIOGRAPHY
Kimberly Sullivan earned her master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco in 2002. During this time, she studied acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, with a special interest in women's health. She received advanced training in Hangzhou, China, observing in a variety of clinics which integrated traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. She studied with leading practitioners in the fields of gynecology, pain management, and digestive disorders.
Kimberly has a special focus on the treatment of women's health disorders. This includes the treatment of menstrual irregularities, fibroids and endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, infertility, obstetrics, and postpartum treatment. She has worked with many women over the years to help them enhance their fertility and achieve pregnancy, whether they are trying to conceive naturally or through the help of assisted reproductive technology (ART).
In addition to women's health disorders, Kimberly also treats patients for a variety of other conditions, including muscular-skeletal conditions, allergies, digestive complaints, and emotional imbalances. Bringing the body back into balance so that it can heal itself is her main goal for all her patients.
Kimberly is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Illinois and is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), in both acupuncture and Chinese herbology.

ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture is a time-honored healing practice rooted in traditional Chinese medicine. By delicately inserting fine needles into specific points on the body, known as acupoints, it stimulates the body's natural ability to heal and restore balance. This gentle yet powerful technique is celebrated for its effectiveness in alleviating a wide range of conditions, from chronic pain and migraines to anxiety and nausea. During a session, clients experience deep relaxation as the needles activate the body's natural pain-relieving mechanisms and promote overall well-being. Discover the transformative benefits of acupuncture and embark on a journey towards holistic health and vitality.
HERBS
Chinese herbal medicine is often used in conjunction with acupuncture. Whereas acupuncture may be more effective in treating one particular condition, herbs may be more effective for another. Ideally, they are used together to reinforce the benefits of each. Like acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine has evolved over thousands of years. Unlike Western herbalism, which often uses singular herbs for singular purposes, Chinese herbal medicine involves formulas that may include as few as four, or as many as twenty different herbs. Each herb has a specific function in that formula, acting synergistically with the other herbs. Most often, herbs are given in pills or capsule form, which are more convenient and have a higher compliance among patients.
